EDWARD MELLER - COLLINS STREET
The major project for 2007 was the complete re-fit of the Edward Meller flagship store at 278 Collins Street in Melbourne, with the design by Luigi Rosselli.
This year we have just finished a commission to make one additional display table for the ground floor sales area. Returning to photograph the original tables to remind myself of the details, I was pleased to find them looking as fresh as ever, having stood up to the rigours of a high traffic retail environment with flying colours.
The new unit has been built in the same manner - MDF, laminated into the curves at the corners, finished with metallic aluminium two pack automotive lacquers. Opaque laminated glass gives the actual display surface, while heat formed acrylic supports the whole structure.
